Feature Friday: Dot to Dot Massage

Welcome to the the Feature Friday series. On Fridays throughout this series I will feature a resource relevant to pregnancy, birth, or parenting in the Cleveland, TN and Chattanooga, TN area. May you find something to help you on your journey with your baby.

Dot to Dot Massage

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Nicole Lasley of Dot to Dot Massage. I also got to partake in a mini baby massage class with her. Nicole is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and is Internationally Certified as a Pediatric Massage Therapist and Infant Massage Instructor. Dot Massage

About Nicole

Aside from running her Dot to Dot Massage business, Nicole is a mom of two boys. She loves to craft and sew. Massage Therapy is her second career, but is certainly her passion. She is extremely passionate about mothers and their kids, which eventually lead her to a love of baby massage.

What sparked her passion for this work?

From a young age Nicole was always rubbing friends’ backs and coming up with different “strokes” to use.  As she got older, she never pursued that interest further. When she had her first child and felt well cared for during labor/delivery, she wanted a way to bring that care to others though was unsure as to how. Soon thereafter, she started getting regular massages herself which re-ignited her interest in the field. Dot to Dot Massage was a product not long after.

What are some benefits of baby massage?

There are countless benefits to infant massage for both you and your baby. Key benefits of baby massage that Nicole noted are: bonding (her favorite), often improved sleep, less crying, improved neurological and motor development, and relief from things like gas, colic, and stress…yes babies have stress, too! You can find a more comprehensive list of benefits here.

What services does Dot to Dot Massage offer?

While there are plans to expand in the future, currently Nicole offers baby massage classes for parents and babies in both group and private sessions.

What is the best way to register for a class?
